Fitness Quotient is a method which measures the Fitness of a person at given point of time. Fitness Quotient is holistic in nature. It is not only about Body but it takes care of Mind as well.
When Akash joined us, he was in dire state of health. He had recently underwent an angioplasty. It was 9 months past his surgery and obviously he was in Poor Zone in Fitness Quotient. Akash was only 28 yo, was recently married and had a 1.4 yo kid. He was working with a share broking company. He weighed around 89kg and height of 5.8 ft. As per BMI his ideal weight was supposed to be around 69kg. His body fats were 26%. We had a task of making him lose extra baggage of 20kg and bringing body fats below 20%. All was to be done in period of 12weeks.
On day one we explained him the process. We started with understanding his lifestyle, food and exercise habits. He had never exercised or played any sports in life. He lived on junk food and was a chain smoker and an occasional drinker. Being a stock broker, he was in acute stress and was suffering from anxiety. He took the Fitness Quotient test and we shared the detailed report and explained him each factor. After that we started with a Quantified Balanced Diet and he committed to make change in his lifestyle. Within a week his health started showing improvement.
After 4 weeks we introduced light exercises, which he can perform at home. By end of 6th Week we introduced Psychotherapy for him. The FittQGuru Psychotherapist helped him to come out of trauma of the surgery and helped him to get rid of the stress completely. He resumed office and his regular routine was started but the FittQGuru kept him motivated to be on the fitness track. By end of 12th week he had lost 15kgs, his body fat were at 19%. His health condition had improved drastically. He was a new person. By the end of 12th Week when he reappeared for Fitness Quotient Test, he scored 62% and his health was in First Class Zone. After seeing the changes in him his wife also joined FittQ for Diet and Yoga.
Fitness Quotient is a new age method. It takes into consideration Body, Mind, Diet and Cure. In the chapter ahead we will discuss the revolutionary Fitness Quotient and its 5 important factors Sleep, Water Intake, Nutrition, Exercise, and Mindfulness in details.
The Formula for Fitness Quotient
Fitness Quotient = Avg. of [Sleep Quotient + Water Intake Quotient + Nutrition Quotient + Exercise Quotient + Mindfulness Quotient]
I reiterate that Fitness Quotient is a revolution in fitness industry but it is evolutionary and will constantly keep on upgrading. Our FittQGurus are constantly working on it to make it more accurate.
What is Fitness Quotient?
You are aware of Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and you keep hearing about IQ Test scores. It is used majorly to understand Intelligence which denotes potential of future growth. Similarly you have heard about Emotional Quotient (EQ) which helps predict mental makeup of an individual.
Various classifications through these tests categorize individuals. E.g. in IQ Tests considering median score of 100 as average and score of 140 and above is considered genius while score of 24 and below is considered as challenged.
These tests help predict the outcomes in life. They help to predict the degree of success that an individual will attain in life.
At FittQ.com, with similar approach, we have developed a unique revolutionary “Fitness Quotient Test”. This test can be given by any individual to understand the fitness levels at given point of time. The test shows not only the fitness condition but also gives the numerical score to understand the scope of improvement.
At FittQ.com, we analyse “Fitness Quotient” through 5 important parameters Sleep, Water intake, Diet, Activity, Mind and 2 important sub-factors like Habits and Hereditary Health Issues.
These are different parameters to the test but excelling in all parameter and performing poorly even in single parameter is still scope for improvement.
I will explain these various factors of Fitness Quotient in the articles ahead.
